This is a little tool a very dear friend of me told me about. When you are a very abstract and visual person, sometimes it is hard to really sit and get in touch with how you feel at any given moment. So having something tangible, to look at, really helps to identify those feelings. As a mother – it is important to identify them before you blow up in anger. As a child it is as well. So here is my rendition of the emotional guidance scale. Each of the members of my family chose a color that resonates with them.
I think even my 2 year old can figure this out!!!
Although now that I have made them, I think mama’s should have had a smiley at the bottom with x’s for eyes. You know, like when someone dies on a cartoon? Cause I feel like that pretty often. LOL.
